This project began as a way to slow down and pay closer attention to the place that I live — Culpeper, Virginia.

Over time, the photographs have become a record of the town as I experience it: its people, its structures, and the quiet details that define everyday life.

Rather than focusing on singular events, the work builds gradually — through pattern, familiarity, and time — allowing the place to reveal itself.

Culpeper, Observed is the first chapter in this ongoing body of work.

Chapters to expect featured in the future:

Culpeper, Childhood Lived

Culpeper, Rural Presence

Culpeper, At Work

Culpeper, Gathered

Culpeper, Preserved

Culpeper, After Hours

Culpeper, Looking Back
